Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change and sometimes you may have to cancel your attendance at an event. Unfortunately, sometimes we are still charged for "no-shows" for our in person events at certain venues such as the Rivers Club or the Emerging Philanthropy Conference, and have therefore enacted this cancellation policy.

In-Person Events for Members

  • In-person events can be cancelled online up until the week prior to the event when we finalize our attendance with the event venue.
  • After that point, cancellations and no-shows will be accessed a $35 fee to cover the expenses incurred by the PPGC (we have to pay the event venue even if you don't show up.)

In-Person Events for Non-Members

  • In-person events can be cancelled online up until one week prior to the event when we finalize our attendance with the event venue.
  • If you cancel before the deadline, you can choose to treat your payment as a donation, hold it in your account for a future event, or receive a refund. Please email office@ppgc.net to specify how you would like your payment to be handled.
  • After that point, cancellations and no-shows will forfeit their registration fee to cover the expenses incurred by the PPGC (we have to pay the event venue even if you don't show up.)
  • Refunds will not be issued unless we are unable to hold the event.

Online Events for Members

  • Online events can be cancelled on our website up to the day before the event.
  • Members are still entitled to receive a copy of the handouts and/or event recordings as appropriate, regardless of whether they cancel or are counted as "no-shows."

Online Events for Non-Members

  • Online events can be cancelled on our website up to 24 hours before the event.
  • If you cancel before the deadline, you can choose to treat your payment as a donation, hold it in your account for a future event, or receive a refund. Please email office@ppgc.net to specify how you would like your payment to be handled.
  • If you did not cancel in time or did not attend, you will receive a copy of the handouts and/or event recordings as appropriate.
  • Refunds will not be issued unless we are unable to hold the event.

How to cancel

To cancel your registration online, visit the page for your event. Under the register button it should say “Already registered.” Click that link. If you are eligible to cancel without penalty, there's a box that says "cancel registration.”
